About PCT

WHAT WE OFFER:

K-3RD:

For younger students we offer a variety of creative learning activities. PCT is a place where children have the freedom to be children.

Students can take Arts and Crafts, Music, or Intro to Tech, as well as play outside or participate in learning games.

4TH-5TH:

Although creative learning is still a large focus, students will begin to take classes aimed at understanding themselves and others.

Students can take Art Class, Music, Gardening, Engineering, Etiquette Class, Bullying Awareness, and Intro to Anatomy

6TH-8TH:

When students enter Middle School they begin to experience physical and social changes. AT the same time, they are expected to be able to manage more responsibilities.

Students can take Intramural Sports, Art and Music, Science Club, Home EC., Social Media Awareness, Effects of Pornography, and Drug Abuse.

9TH-10TH:

When students enter high school they are faced with major changes in workload, friend groups, and exposure to risky behavior. Our goal it to make sure that these students understand how to manage time and stay focused despite these distractions. This is a safe place to build the confidence to stand against peer pressure and the difficulties of everyday life.

Students can take Intramural Sports, Art and Music, Home EC, Expectations Vs. Reality (the aftermath of pornography), Health, Time Management, How to Fight Peer Pressure, and Self Investment.

11TH-12TH:

In this stage of life, students are expected to be mature and college ready. They are soon-to-be adults who will participate in politics, careers, budgeting, and the real world. Our goal is to built leaders who will one day teach the things they have learned at PCT to the generations to come.

Students can take Intramural Sports, Art and Music, College Planning, Career Tech, Social Media (how to present yourself), and Budget Management.

College:

Our college students lead the classes that PCT offers. They are glad to share their experiences, as well as challenges and mistakes in life in order to help those younger than them. They also run a hotline from 6 am to 10 pm that allows students to talk about their stresses and struggles and receive viable advice. Our college students are a key asset to the functioning of the program, without them it would not exist.
